The 250KW diesel generator set uses the YC6MK420L-D20 high-power diesel engine produced by Yuchai as its power source. It adopts an integral crankcase, a rear gear chamber and patented point-line meshing technology. Its average effective pressure, specific power and specific torque are at the leading level in China.

The YC6MK series diesel engine for power generation uses the top P7100 oil pump, low-inertia small-aperture P-type injector and Honeywell's new high-efficiency supercharger. Its fuel consumption index is far better than that of domestic products with the same power level. It uses Yuchai's proprietary piston ring sealing technology and valve oil sealing technology. Its lubricating oil consumption is more than 20% lower than that of domestic products with the same power level. It uses 42CrMo forged steel crankshaft, high-pressure forging, high-frequency quenching of shaft diameter and fillet, which improves fatigue strength and wear resistance. It is developed for reliability strictly according to the mechanical development procedures of the German FEV company. The overhaul period of the whole machine is more than 12,000 hours.
